YEAR 6 EXHIBITION
Week 1 and 2
· Children look at what needs to be changed in the world
· Investigate into what is happening in the world at the moment.
· Write a fact file on children that have made a difference.
· Discuss what action they would like to do.
· Children investigate what of the IB vocabulary they will be investigating in their exhibition, planning their exhibition, looking at what action they would like to do.
Maths links
· Investigating into 2D and 3D shapes and why they are important in building a house.
· Looking at how the 2D shapes get their names
· How their formulas come about
· The importance of Angles
· Looking at how 3D shapes are made of different 2D shapes
· How to make Nets and models of 3D shapes
· Using Algebra to solve different formulas of 2D shapes
· Finding the volume and capacity of different shapes
· And most importantly looking to how all of these relate to building.

· One point perspective drawing.
Week 3 and 4
· Using all of their research skills they will need to research information about their topic. Always inquiring into different things. Here they will need to also focus on using the correct websites, referencing, and comprehending all their information.
Maths link
· Looking at Ratio, to enlarge and reduce buildings.
· Investigate into what Percentage, Ratio, fractions are but also how they link to each other.

· Two point perspective drawing.
Week 5 and 6
· Students need to survey people, collect data, present their data, start making their presentations.
· Think of their action and how will they present it.
· Continue with their exhibition.
